With over 17 years in golf course management, I’ve dedicated my career to maintaining and improving championship-level playing conditions. Since joining Stonington Country Club in 2022, I’ve focused on sustainable course management, strategic agronomy, and enhancing member experience.
Before SCC, I served as Golf Course Superintendent at Fox Hopyard Golf Club (CT) and Rock Ridge Country Club (CT), where I led aeration programs, tree management, and infrastructure upgrades. My journey started with a Turfgrass Management and Soil Science degree from UConn, followed by an internship at Oakmont Country Club, one of the top-ranked courses in the U.S.
As a Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS), I actively contribute to the industry through leadership roles with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and the Connecticut Association of Golf Course Superintendents (CAGCS), where I serve on the Board of Directors as Treasurer. In 2024, I was honored with the GCSAA Grassroots Ambassador Leadership Award for advocacy efforts in golf course sustainability and legislation.
Originally from Eastern Connecticut, returning to this area has been a homecoming. My wife, Megan, and I met at UConn and have been married for seven years. We enjoy life in the region with our two cats. While I don’t play as often as I’d like, I still appreciate the beauty of the game—and carry a single-digit handicap when I do hit the course.
